Being a professional footballer in 2018 takes more than talent alone. Players, coaches and managers are changing the face of football creating a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere with positive values and behaviour on and off the pitch.

Being a professional footballer in 2018 takes more than talent alone. From grassroots up, leading organisations are working with players, coaches, managers and staff to change the face of football. Together they're creating a more diverse and inclusive atmosphere on and off the pitch with a focus on being family friendly and accessible to all. Having worked on a variety of equality and diversity projects including brochures, guides, events and eLearning we know how to communicate key messages in a sensitive but engaging way. As a result of our experience in sport and education we were pleased to have been selected to design and develop the EFL's eLearning course, Playing for Inclusion

Playing for Inclusion was designed to go out to all 72 clubs EFL training and educating 10,000 academy and community staff on matters of inclusion. The course tackles key issues such as bullying and discrimination training staff on the right ways to handle difficult or sensitive situations. Playing for Inclusion takes a serious subject and breaks it up. Using a combination of video, animation, photography and illustration we create life-like situations, learners can relate to and understand. We then test their knowledge with quizzes and multiple choice questions.

Working alongside the EFL we developed the course to be dynamic and personalised. This meant structuring the content and resources to be specific to individual roles and clubs.

Learners have their own account and login where they fill in their details. Their selection will determine which pathway they are sent on and will customise the page, pulling in their clubs colours, badges and relative information.

The online learning is hosted on a Lite-LMS meaning it is streamlined and user-friendly. We use SCORM compliant LMS systems which can be easily accessed by admin users, providing useful insights and to confirm who has completed the course. As with all our eLearning designs, Playing for Inclusion is designed to be responsive working seamlessly on any device making it a flexible learning course that can be completed from anywhere and at anytime!
