Unity United: Kicking Bias Off the Pitch
The challenge
The English Football League (EFL) take a firm stance on Equality and Diversity, providing training, events, brochures and most recently an eLearning course, 'Playing for Inclusion'. We worked with them to produce a dynamic eLearning course designed to inspire and educate staff and volunteers at all 72 EFL clubs on matters of inclusion.
Inclusion is an important part of Equality and Diversity and eLearning a core part of the learning and engagement for the organisation.
Working alongside the EFL, we developed the course to by dynamic, structuring the content and resources to be specific to individual roles and clubs.
Personalised learning
Personalisation is vitally important to the learner’s overall experience. Recent research suggests that 94% of businesses believe it critical to success.
We personalised the learner experience by creating individual accounts for learners giving them their own account and login details. This meant staff and volunteers could select their role and club during the account set up stage which is then used to determine which pathway they are sent on.
The dynamic design enabled a highly personalised approach to learning where even the screen was personalised with the learners clubs colours, badges and information.
Bitesized and interactive
Playing for Inclusion takes a serious subject and breaks it up. Working with the team at EFL we created engaging bite sized learning filled with an assortment of media and interactive tools.
Using a combination of video, animation, photography and illustration we created life like situations that staff and volunteers could relate to and understand, testing their knowledge with quizzes and multiple-choice questions.
As with all our designs, Playing for Inclusion is modern, user friendly, fully traceable and responsive, meaning the client can view progress and individual learner achievements.
