Sailing the Seas of Inclusion
A relatable learning experience
Having seen First Media's track record of creating modern and engaging EDI learning, RYA asked us to get involved.
We created a bright and sporty module in our bespoke development framework, that is compatible with mobile devices.
Real-Life Scenarios
In the module we employ a vibrant mix of EDI concepts, constantly relating the topics back to real practice and examples in sailing to help learners relate the learning points to real life scenarios.
We frequently ask the learner what they think and ask them to consider realistic yachting situations to help them decide what is right and wrong.
Putting it into perspective
As well as getting the learners to think about their understanding of EDI.
We also used bespoke videos of RYA people sharing what their perspective is on different EDI challenges, the stance of the RYA, and the impact poor EDI practice can have on the sport.
Finally we used three inspiring videos about the possibilities of embracing EDI within the sport to make it inclusive for everybody to enjoy, challenging the learners to consider what difference they could make too.
