We’re exhibiting again at the Learning Technologies Exhibition & Conference next week, and this year we’ve gone full 90s.

That’s where it all started for us. Long before “digital learning” became the term everyone uses today, we were already creating it. Back then, everything had to be thought through, designed from the ground up, and built with purpose. There were no shortcuts, no templates, and certainly no AI to lean on.

What that gave us was a way of thinking that’s stuck ever since.

It was always about understanding people first. The context they’re in, the challenges they face, and what would genuinely help them. The tools have evolved massively, but that mindset hasn’t changed.

Come and see us

This year, you’ll find us at Stand J55 at ExCeL London on 29–30 April 2026.

We’ll be sharing some of the latest work we’ve created over the past year, from bespoke eLearning experiences to more immersive, scenario-led learning and new approaches using AI.

It’s a chance to see how we’re bringing ideas to life, pushing creative boundaries, and designing learning that feels more real, relevant and engaging.

If you’re exploring ways to improve engagement, rethink your approach, or simply want to see what’s possible, come and have a chat.

From the 90s to now

The tools have changed a lot since the 90s, but the thinking behind great eLearning hasn’t.

It still starts with understanding people. Their world, their challenges, and what they need the learning to help them do differently.

What has changed is what we can now create from that thinking.

We’re able to design more immersive experiences, bring in richer storytelling, and use video, interaction and real-world scenarios in ways that genuinely connect. Ideas that might have stayed as concepts years ago can now be brought to life properly.

At the same time, AI is changing the landscape.

It’s making content quicker to produce and easier to scale, which is a huge opportunity. But it also means there’s a growing risk of everything starting to look and feel the same. More polished, but less distinctive.

That’s where creativity and human insight become even more important. Not as a replacement for AI, but as the thing that gives learning its edge.

Same creative roots. Just bigger, bolder ideas.

Meet the team

We’ve also taken the opportunity to look back a bit.

We’ve dug out some photos of the team from the 90s, which will be on display at the stand. Some of them are brilliant. Some of them raise a few questions. All of them remind us how far things have come.

It’s a bit of fun, but it also reflects the journey. Same people, same thinking, just evolved over time.

If you’re passing by, see if you can match the photos to the team as they are today.

As part of the event, Shane will also be running two sessions across the two days in Seminar Theatre 10.

Authenticity vs Automation

29 April | 10:15 – 10:45

This session looks at how AI is shaping eLearning in a practical, grounded way. Not from a theoretical perspective, but from real experience of designing and delivering learning over the past 20 years.

It explores where AI genuinely adds value, where it can fall short, and how to strike the right balance between efficiency and effectiveness. The focus is on creating learning that still feels human, relevant and engaging, even as the tools around us continue to evolve.

The 1% Club: The eLearning Design Quiz

30 April | 12:30 – 13:00

This session takes a more interactive approach.

Inspired by The 1% Club, it puts you into a series of design scenarios where you’ll need to make decisions and see how your thinking compares with others in the room. It’s a simple format, but it quickly highlights the difference between content that works and content that doesn’t.

It’s designed to be engaging, slightly unpredictable, and to give you a few ideas you can take away and apply straight away.
